Vibrator pan causes back strain
Posted on June 18th 2008
Compensation has been awarded to a worker who injured his back after an accident at work.
The man, who was employed as a foreman, received £70,000 in compensation when he suffered severe injuries to his back whilst leaning over a vibrator pan, which sorted scissors that were mixed with ceramic chips.
The job involved leaning over the top of the vibrating pan and pulling the scissors to the top, which meant his arms were at full stretch, causing a great strain to his back.
