Steward trips over crate

£8,000 has been compensated to a worker after he was injured at work.

The man, who was hired as a steward at a working men's club, tripped over a bottle crate that had been left on the floor.

He received a rotator cuff injury to his shoulder and had to receive surgery.

The club admitted liability however the man also admitted 20 contributory negligence.
