Stage collapse Canada

Following the roof collapse of Madonna's stage in Marseille, France two weeks ago killing two stage erecters, a stage in Canada has collapsed at the Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta on Saturday, 1 August.
It is suspected that at least 1 person lost their life and 15 others remained injured as sudden high-speed gusts of wind swept through the music festival streaking havoc and chaos in its wake.

The main stage which collapsed whilst Bill Cunningham and his band were performing described how their high-powered amp fell over, triggering their natural instinct to leap offstage and to follow fans running towards the exits.
The scene more reminiscent of a thriller film rather that the Glasto-style music festival followed a thunderstorm with torrential rain and high winds which sped through the festival site early Saturday evening causing the mass exodus of spectators.
