Slipped disc agony results in payout

A man who was working in factory was awarded £15,000 for a back injury he sustained at work.

The man was replacing a part of a machine that meant he had to lean into the machine, prise a part off and then lift in onto a trolley. While he was doing this he suffered lower back damage, which was a slipped disc.

The employer made an offer to the man of £12,905, however the offer was rejected and the final compensation settlement was £15,702.
