Skip tips truck-injuring driver

A HGV driver who was loading a skip onto his truck injured himself when the truck tipped over causing a fractured finger, bruising and abrasions to his hands, damaged knee and a blunt trauma to his chest.

It was alleged that the skip was over loaded and the man's employers did not ensure that any overfilling was removed and had failed to train the driver adequately in safely loading the skip

The man was awarded a compensation settlement of £8,000.
