Painter and decorator awarded multi-million pound damages

A painter and decorator left seriously injured when a scaffolding board broke under him has received a multi-million pound settlement. He fell 6 metres and was left brain damaged. For the rest of his life he will be wheelchair bound and in need of permanent care.

His employer admitted liability, however the payment will be split between the employer and the scaffolding company (30/70).
