The pipe fitter, who spent more than a year recovering after an air conditioning until fell on him, was left with a broken pelvis and broke three vertebrae in his back.
229 people were killed in the workplace last year and thousands more suffered injuries due to work-related illness.
The pipe-fitter was thankful to have not been one of the229 people killed, as the air conditioning unit that fell on him weighted approximately three-quarters of a tonne, however the accident now means that he is unable to continue in the trade and has now retrained in IT.
