Industrial accident causes knee injury
Posted on October 24th 2008
A man, who was employed as an engineer fitter/operator in a papermill has been awarded £22,000 after he was injured at work in an industrial accident.
Whilst walking though the plant where he worked there was wet paper pulp on the floor which he did not notice, causing him to slip and fall.
The fall ruptured a tendon in his knee, which required surgery, use of a brace and crutches. This left him off work for five months, when he was required to carry out physiotherapy. His job role has now had to be altered due to the restrictions that he has in his knee.
Ensure your working environment is safe from any unnecessary accidents by following the Health and Safety Law. Also, protect your employ with employers liability insurance, for that extra protection should an accident occur from Insuremyliability.co.uk
