Head injury receives payout
Posted on May 27th 2008
£13,750 has been awarded to a worker after he suffered a head injury, which led to post traumatic illness, whist working as a JCB mechanical loading shovel driver in a warehouse.
The accident occurred when he was loading coke on to a conveyor, which was transporting the product into ships. He was reversing his vehicle and hit the wall of the warehouse, which was poorly lit, banging his head on a rail within his vehicle and injuring his shoulder.
Medication was prescribed after that accident when he kept suffering from very severe post traumatic headaches.
