Hand injury receives payout
Posted on June 11th 2008
A man, who was caused an injury to the hand whilst at work, has been awarded £6,000 in compensation.
The worker was using a milling machine at the time of the accident, trying to profile and shape some metal when one of the springs on the handle failed causing it to swing round and strike him on the hand.
A lump later developed on the workers hand which got worse with time and caused him pain, he went to see his GP who referred him to the hospital where he needed to undergo surgery. The lump was discovered to be a swollen nerve.
