HSE reminds the need for personal protective equipment

The Health and Safety Executive has reminded that all companies should provide all employees personal protective equipment to prevent workplace injuries.

This comes after Forteq a UK based company was fines £1,250 and ordered to pay £2,224.40 in costs after they had breached the HSE safety regulations in the workplace. The result of which was an employee of the firm suffered burns to his face, neck and arms down to him not having been wearing the correct safety equipment.

HSE also reminded this month the importance of fire safety after a student from the West Midlands was burned by a fireball on work experience.
