Gas explosion injures worker

A gas worker, who was called out to investigate a reported gas leak in a pub, has received £230,000 in compensation after the gas leak caused a massive explosion, blowing him several feet into the air.

It was found that the gas leak was caused when the defendant company cut through the gas pipe whilst laying cables.

The defendant company admitted liability and the worker received compensation for the injuries that he received, this included neck injuries and post traumatic stress disorder and is yet to return back to work.
