Flipping bouncy castle

A bouncy castle, full of children, that was flipped over by a gust of wind brought panic and chaos to a school fete.

The inflatable, at the Epiphany Church of England Primary School summer fete, was caught by the gust in the early evening of Friday 27th June.

Parents were frantically checking on their children, with some becoming as distressed as some of the youngsters who had been on the bouncy castle when it tipped.

Luckily no one was seriously hurt, with first-aiders attending for shock and bumps and bruises.

The bouncy castle had been supplied by a long running company with a good reputation.

Importantly they held the suitable public liability insurance that had it been much worse, it would have made sure that the company was protected.

This accident highlights that companies that have dealings with the public need public liability insurance to protect their businesses from costly claims.

Also it is becoming more of a requirement to get the work in the first place with more customers wanting to see valid public liability insurance in place before hiring a business.
