Employers found guilty of accident on coal site

After 2 fatal accidents which occurred at a coal site in Ayrshire, coal chiefs have pleaded guilty for being responsible for the errors that were made leading up to the accident, which exposed them to risks out of health and safety regulations.

The accident occurred when two men were crushed by a 1,000 ton lorry which caused them fatal injuries.

The death of these two workers, unfortunately, was not the first accident to occur on the site, including a worker being killed in an accident that evolved a dump truck and another being crushed between to coal lorries.
