Electrician and ladders

An electrician who was working up a ladder received head and shoulder injuries when a forklift truck knocked him off the ladder to the ground.
The man was repairing an electrical appliance in a corridor when, as he was half way up the ladder was knocked to the floor by the forklift truck.
The man received a fractured skull, fractures to clavicle and soft tissue injury. Since the accident the man has suffered severe headaches, facial palsy, sight problems and short-term memory loss leading to an 18 months work gap.
The settlement was agreed as £44,200.
