Delivery chain receives RoSPA road risk award

A supermarkets home delivery chain, Tesco Dotcome, has been awarded with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents top award for the second time in three years, for the recognition of its wide-range management approach to road risks.
The company, who was presented with the RoSPA MORR Trophy in May this year, pride themselves in the training they provide their drivers with which includes an extensive motoring and reporting process and detailed investigation systems.
A ban on the use of hands free mobile phones has also been implemented by the company, to ensure their drivers are fully aware whilst driving.
Scottish Power Fleet Business has also been commended along with the highways safety company COLAS for their systematic approach to managing road risks.
In the workplace the RoSPA silver occupational health and safety award has been awarded to The Deparment for Work and Pensions for its efforts to improve safety in the workplace.
