Contractor breaks ankle on site

A contractor has received £8,000 in compensation after he broke his ankle whilst he was working as a roofer on a site.

The worker was trying to climb from some scaffolding and had to get over some stacked materials, which were blocking the path he needed to take, meaning he had to climb over them and as he went over them they shifted, trapping his leg beneath them and breaking a bone in his ankle.
