Construction industry creates jobs in Wales
Posted on July 13th 2009
Following the recession and the decline in the construction industry, a report produced by Construction Skills, the Sector Skills Council, predicts approximately 30,000 jobs are to be created in the construction industry in Wales over the next five years.
The jobs will be developed from public sector infrastructure projects, renewed activity in the Public and Private Sector and covering general turnover between 2010 and 2014, meaning Wales looks to bounce back from the recession, quicker than the rest of the UK.
132,000 look to be employed in the construction industry by 2014, this will be more than 4,000 people when the recession hit the country.
