Companies face £600,000 payout for death of steeplejacks

A company has been ordered to pay over £300,000 each to the next of kin of two steeplejacks who were killed whilst working on a chimney.
Whilst working at heights, there was an explosion and both men suffered fatal injuries. Three employees admitted breaking health and safety laws and were personally fined smaller sums.
The family of younger man, who was just 23 years old, were offered £335,000 compensation.
