The meat processing company were found guilty of breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This law implies that employers must be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of their employee's whilst at work. The charges included £40,452 in costs.
It has not been made official if the cleaner's family have yet made a claim for compensation against the company.
