Business pleades guilty to breaching safety regulations

A Hamilton company has been fined £70,000 after pleading guilty to the death of a worker at a site office back in 2008. Clyde Valley Housing Association Ltd pleaded guilty to the charges of breaching the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
The case was brought to the attention of the Health and Safety Executive after a security guard was killed after over exposure to carbon monoxide.
After further investigation by the HSE the company was found to have breached a number of regulations by using a petrol powered generator inside the site office.
