Badly maintained lift injures worker

£3,250 has been successfully claimed by a Merseyside woman after she filed a personal injury claim against her employers and sub-contractors.

The woman, who was working for the Secretary of state for work and pensions at the time of the incident had entered a lift that's floor was a couple of inches lowers than it should have been. Expecting it to be at the same level as the floor she was on when she entered and seriously jarred her back, which caused pain to both her back and legs for months after the accident.

The case was initially handed to her employers, but it was clear the lift had clearly not been well maintained by sub-contractors. The case was settled against all defendants who all admitted liability.
