Back injury payout

£75,000 has been awarded to a Nursery Nurse in a out of court settlement for a back injury at work.

The lady was carrying a box from a cupboard when the contents of the box slipped and lead the lady to fall back against the door, which sprung back on her. She twisted her back and fell onto other equipment in the cupboard.

Since the fall the lady has had to have a spinal operation and was off of work for a long time. In the end she was unable to return to work as she has had further relapses.
