Back injury leads to payout
Posted on October 31st 2008
A man who was working on a production line has been awarded £15,702 when he incurred injuries while at work.
The man was replacing a roll head on a machine. To fix the problem he had to lean into the machine where he sustained a slipped disc in his lower back.
£12,906 was the employers offer to settle the claim however this was refused. The claim was finally settled at £15,702.
Without having employers liability insurance in place a company would have to pay this type of claim out of their own funds. Make sure that you have reliable liability insurance in place. Go to www.insuremyliability.co.uk and get a quotation today.
