BT office caper leads to employers liability claim

An employee of BT is to bring about a case of employers liability against the telecommunications giant for a broken humerus.

The break happened when the employee was forced to take part in an office challenge, these had previously involved running backwards around the office and dancing on tables.

The particular challenge involved was to partake in an arm wrestling competition with another member of staff. Even in regulated competition, injuries are common so it was of no surprise when the employee sustained a broken arm.

Now nursing a fractured humerus the employee has enlisted the services of a personal injury specialist to seek compensation from his employers, as he is now off work for at least another two months.
