A female worker damaged her back and knee after slipping over in her employers nursery.

She slipped in a small pool of vomit that had not been cleaned up. When she fell, she was carrying her 9 month-old baby. She tried to stop her child hitting the floor and so fell with all her weight on one knee.

The colleges insurer eventually admitted liability and paid £8,500 in compensation for time off work and pain suffered.
