£45k awarded to nurse after workplace injury

Jacqueline Crowe a respected nurse seriously injured her neck and back in a workplace accident.

The incident occurred when she was attempting to move a bed to change the sheets in South Moor Hospital. She was injured after the brake release on the bed failed, causing her to jar her neck and back as she pulled it towards her.

Since the incident occurred she has been unable to return to work causing depression, such was the severity of the accident.
