£18,000 awarded for ladder fall

£18,000 has been awarded to a worker who was knocked off his ladder whilst repairing a heavy sign, causing him to dislocate his right elbow.

The case settled that the worker was not provided with proper working equipment, including no stepladder and not enough men. His employers admitted liability.
