£12000 Partial Finger Amputation Award

A DIY Superstore was responsible for a customer's partial finger amputation when the customer was in the process of getting his granite work top cut to size.
The customer was assisting staff when his finger became trapped between the worktop and the mounted vertical saw.
The man suffered a partial amputation of his middle finger tip. As a result of his injuries he will continue to have heat sensitivity symptoms.
