"Zero accidents" equals reward for employees

CEM an electricity company awarded a number of its staff in recognition of their contributions last year on health and safety, environment, and quality within the workplace. "CEM is always putting its up most efforts on enhancing the work quality", the company said in a statement released yesterday, adding, "the company is now aiming to achieve its goal of zero accidents in the workplace." Joao Travassos, the company's executive director said, CEM "must have superior safety performance." This has enabled the company to minimise safety risks and put them into the position they are in now. 2008 was the year with the least number of work injuries for CEM in 20 years and has been a record-breaking year for "zero accidents" within the workplace. The company has thanked it employees with rewards to good work performance, periodical quizzes and prizes.
