Tradesman are fearing the worst as the building industry gets hammered
The current situation in the house building sector has got many tradesman worried about their futures.
Many new workers to the industry will not have experienced a significant downturn like the one seen in the 1980s.
With some 4,500 jobs already gone from the big six house builders in the UK it will only be a matter of time before the smaller associated trades start to make cut backs as well.
For many small businesses this slump could be the breaking of them as contracts dry up.
In tough times it may seem beneficial to save money by cutting your insurance cover, but it’s during these times when your liability insurance makes the most sense.
As when money is tight, a claim for public liability or employer’s liability will have serious implications in you being able to carry on trading, putting your business and home at risk in the event of a payout.
