The numbers of workplace deaths are at an all time low

Figures released by the Health and Safety Executive show that the number of workers killed at work are at a record low. The figures showed that in March the number of workplace deaths reached 180, whereas March last year the figure was a more troubling 233. This shows that the emphasis that the Heath and Safety Executive have been putting on employers to increase workplace safety has started to sink in.

Employers across the UK are evermore finding that keeping their business is becoming more of a challenge by the day. This means they have to try and cut costs by any means necessary. One corner employers must not cut is finding or obtaining liability insurance for their company. Although the figures released show improvements in the number of workplace deaths and accidents they are by no means gone. A liability claim made against a company could result in tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds in claim payouts. In order to protect a company from this sort of financial turmoil liability insurance is vital and paying around £100 a year for this could be a whole lot better than paying £100,000 to an employee.
