Scaffolding falls on worker
A scaffolder has been awarded £2,700 after being injured in the workplace.
The man was injured after one of his colleagues knocked over a scaffolding pole, which hit him on his back, the side of his chest and his head.
The accident caused severe bruising to his chest and suffered pains to the chest wall, made worse by movement, such as coughing and sneezing.
The workers employers should have taken effective steps to ensure that their workers cannot be harmed by any falling objects.
