Pothole injuries elderly

An 88-year-old woman was going down to her local supermarket in her mobility scooter when, as driving down the path to the shop hit a pothole. As she hit the pothole the mobility vehicle was turned over on its side throwing the elderly lady out of it!

As a result of the accident the lady has movement difficulties, after having to have an operation on her hip. Since the operation the 88-year-old relays heavily on family members to help her do the basic things that she was able to do before.

The supermarket has taken the responsibility for the occurrence and the lady was awarded compensation of £34,000.
