Man is awarded £21 000 for back injury
A man has been awarded £21 000 for a back injury while working in a warehouse.
He was required to pick up a box weighing 90 kgs, which led to the injury.
The boxes were placed in a pyramid shape; meaning the only box that would be safe to move without knocking the remaining boxes over was the top box, which was above head height. When the warehouse worker lifted the box down he hurt his lower back He received hospital treatment for his lower back and his right shoulder after it seized up.
He received three injections for the pain and is awaiting further treatment on his shoulder after seeing a shoulder surgeon.
