Growth predicted for the construction industry in 2008

The latest joint trade survey report by the Construction Products Association (CPA) and the Construction Confederation (CC) stated that it expected modest growth in the sector for 2008, even though there were signs of a slow down at the end of last year, the figures were still up from the same period in 2006.

Even with the uk economy looking more subdued people within the construction industry are still optomistic about 2008 as a whole with the majority understanding that the first quarter of the year may be sluggish. However most firms expect to see 2007 orders flowing through into actual, work mainly in the public sector.
