Brewery driver receives £115,477 for vehicle accident at work
The driver's vehicle slipped into a ditch because of a defect on the road surface. The road builders had not laid a hard-core base under the tarmac top layer. This made the edges of the road less stable and caused the vehicle to slide down the bank. The driver was left with neck and back injuries.
The brewery had employed him for 30 years but his injuries left him unable to work and he was made redundant on medical grounds.
