Asbestos exposure working at clothes factory
A women who worked at a clothes factory where asbestos was used on steam pipes and protective pads to press garments as a teenager, has been rewarded £135,000 in damages.
The factory where she worked as a junior clerk made items for small drapers and department stores. She recalled that asbestos would fall on to the floor and she would have to sweep it up.
