Administrator injured by door

A hospital administrator has been awarded £5,350 after being injured by a door. She passed through a pair of the large rubber doors used as envirmonent separators and one of them broke away at the hinge. She was knocked over by the falling door and it landed on top of her. The accident injured her knee and back. She was unable to work for a short time and had to have physiotherapy. The manufacturer and fitter of the door admitted liability for the incident.
