£5.1m awarded after company car crash

A man who was being driven in a company car when it had an accident has been awarded £5,100,000 in personal injury compensation.

The man suffered brain injuries and was temporarily on a life support machine. He had to remain in hospital for five months and then underwent 4 years of rehabilitation. Despite this treatment, he still has only partial sight and short-term memory loss. He will need care for the rest of his life.

The case was not brought against the driver, but against his employer.
